These images were created from two PostScript programs: lua-logo-label.ps, which has an orbiting text, and lua-logo-nolabel.ps, which doesn't. A handy tool for converting PostScript to images with Ghostscript is pstoany, by Noah Friedman. Make sure to use -a to generate antialiased images. You can also use convert from ImageMagick, which is included in most Linux distributions.
The logos are freely available and are distributed under the terms below. We recommend that you give credit to the graphics designer in all printed matter that includes the logo.
